Julie Rowland-Brown

Julie began dancing at the age of 3 and continued through high school, graduating from the New World School of the Arts. It was during this time that she battled with a persistent knee problem. She was introduced to pilates at the young age of 16 and instantly became a believer in this rehabilitative movement philosophy.

Julie received a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Florida, where she graduated in 1997. She moved back home and studied physical therapy at the University of Miami while dancing professionally for one year. During 2001, she received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy and studied pilates with Polestar education. Julie worked in an outpatient orthopedic setting for 4 years as well as with a homecare agency that specialized in pediatrics. On the side, she began teaching pilates and decided to combine her passion for dance, dedication to healing and lifelong involvement in fitness. This fusion led her to open The Core Pilates studio in 2004. Email Julie.

Bob Schroedter

Bob considers himself to be a life-long student of movement. With degrees in engineering and physical therapy, certifications in Pilates and GYROTONIC®, and experience in short- and long-distance triathlons there may be some truth to that. When he's not at The Core Pilates you can find him practicing P.T. in South Miami and Miami Beach, or leading Pilates teacher-training courses through Polestar Education, LLC. His new start-up, MovemenThruRehab, is located in the Miami Beach GYROTONIC® Studio and blends the scientific principles of P.T. with the artful movement system of GYROTONIC®. What he brings to The Core Pilates is his knowledge of intelligent movement evolution coupled with a desire to help clients discover the innate mental and spiritual truth of themselves through joyful, physical play. And did we mention a very dry wit? Email Bob.
